Actually, I'll say that the Jedi as a "rotten to the core" institution is a stupid idea. The Jedi are literally tied into the "Good" of the universe, which means their corruption can only be defeated by schism with a more pure Jedi. Which is lame.
Snyder's corrupted Batman works because he has to realize he's wrong and change. A comparable story of a Jedi Prophet who purifies the religious order is... well, again, lame.
Also, again, George already did this. Anakin was the chosen one who would bring balance to the Force. (Spoilers: He didn't.)

As far as I know, The Bire's official stance on everything is: .
I want my children's' toy product to have more depth!
Bing bong pew pew pew laser swords are cool!
Easy solution to Star Wars: Lucasfilm gets their hands on the unpublished Concord lore.

You know what? After reading threads like these I can say that Resetera and the bire are a lot alike.

Zeo puts Bobby Roberts to shame, and if anyone remembers Bobby, you'd know that is a hell of a feat to achieve.

I liked when the Jedi were just space samurai (Ronin?) that weren't literally the police force of the republic and the embodiment of the light side of the force. That way it was more believable that they could dabble in the dark side and even use it under certain circumstances.

George has fantasies about teen girls and rugged 30-something year old archaeologists (and 10 year old boys and 20-something year old space Queens), so fuck George in the ear.
I hope Megalopolis ends being Coppola doing a Neil Breen as people are “hyping” it.

Blocking people purely because you have no self-control to not read their tweets and react is lunatic behavior and I'm glad now they have to see the tweets. Especially because so many of the people who are probably whining about this (like Esqueer_ who brags about having blocked two million accounts) constantly go around blocks to attack their perceived enemies who then can't respond. And also because they're constantly talking about how they've blocked someone. And also other people are constantly talking about how they're blocked by someone. All of this is insane and the fact that people have spent over a decade talking like it's normal is even crazier.
BUT I DON'T WANT TO SEE TRUMP TWEETS

"Um, excuse me, what does God need with a starship? are you going to remove the ignore from The Bire?"
If it operated like Tasty's SuperIgnore, yes, I would. But I think forums like this operate differently from forums like Twitter where you are encouraged to use your own "feed" of follows. I think ignoring people is weak behavior but I understand the desire to ignore someone like Nintex. (Not for Trump spamming, for being Dutch.)
If they dislike it so much why are they still using the platform? It's been almost 2 years since Elon took over twitter.
Actually, it's about ethics in internet forums.

Actually, actually, let me raise a no1curr point about social institutions. The ResetERA.com type sees only the power that comes from them, they never understand the constraints or responsibilities they correspondingly place on the person. (Or they despise them and want only the power.) Elon's "power" was increased when he bought it, but so was the addition of his constraints imposed by the software, the company, the advertisers, everyone on the platform, laws and stuff like Brazil, etc. He never had that before, they think he was "weaker" before because he could theoretically have been banned and couldn't personally set any directions, but he was the richest man in the world, you think they're going to ban him? That he couldn't just talk through an infinite other number of outlets just as effectively? You think they're going to ignore his complaints? That he wasn't already in that special class of member Twitter admitted they had and constantly worked with? Did they not witness this exact thing with Trump?
Sometimes they're so ignorant and simple while claiming to be the intellectual vanguard it hurts.
Benji, my experience on this forum is genuinely better by having Nintex blocked by default. I don’t need to see twitter embeds on my phone of them last Trump forced meme, if Nintex actually saids something actually worthwhile I can digest it and give him a like.
You can say is different because is a different format, but people also block others just because they want less visual annoyance. People already need to deal IRL smallannoyances that they cannot do nothing about, so I empathize they need to ignore drug addicted billionaire that desperately want to be Tony Stark.
It is different, just don't go to the person's account on Twitter. You can't do that on this type of forum.

I stoped using Twitter a while ago, but you still could get the tweets if your dumb friends retweeted the shit out of it without blocking.

Yes, I know, I criticized this complaint already. It's a concern I simply dismiss as from lunatics rather than being a justification for facilitating unnecessary information suppression.
The irony is that Elon is one of these lunatics and many of his changes are things only lunatics care about. The people at Twitter could not convince him that he's in the 0.1% of the site and almost nobody else uses it the way he does. Many of his obsessions, like bots, were things he should just not care about or fix himself if they upset him. He was never going to be the "free speech" champion not just because he didn't understand free speech but because he wants to outsource all his self-control to a "system" that will always fail.

The giant screenshots, especially of his Ko-Fi, are not my favorite (but also the ones of his "skeets" don't need to be that size either) but I'm too lazy to always edit them to be smaller.
I understand the screenshot thing is a problem on mobile because people won't know what size they actually are and I don't exactly want to encourage calling out large image posters so they know who they are so it becomes a ResetERA.com mob like "community policing" thing, but I suppose I could start trying to let those posters know who they are.
This isn't a comment on the content of these posts, merely the method people are posting them. Nor am I claiming to be immune, which is why I try to use spoilers when embedding a bunch of tweets. (Though that came about more because of the OG's struggles loading them. )

it feels mildly frustrating when i see people try to paint it as this complex morally grey situation when you actually go back in history and see it's just... people who are being ethnically cleansed trying to at least fight that fate. it's not that complicated. The beginning of the timeline was when Hezbollah as an organization was founded, it is not the beginning of anything else. I offered it as a primer to help to understand where we are now, but a 40 year summary is only an intro. What is the real "starting point"? Wherever it was, the people who created it are long dead and we are watching the unfolding tragedy in their endless shadow.
People paint it as a morally grey conflict because at a high level it is. Who exactly is in the right if it is not? Hezbollah are terrorists, Hamas are terrorists, the Iranian and Israeli governments are state supporters of terror.
Perhaps we should refer to it as a morally black conflict instead, devoid of justice and piled high with victims.

tbh I’m not clear on the distinction of block vs mute on Twitter. My understanding is mute prevents you from seeing users and topics. Block prevents other users from seeing your posts. With that understanding, losing block doesn’t seem to matter? If you’re that concerned about others reading your posts, there’s the option to go private where only those you follow can see it.
Only lurk twitter and never need to block. I have a number of accounts and topics muted and don’t see them. Now, ideally Elon would allow mass muting of accounts with emojis. There has never been a single good post from a user with a… I’m not going to say what emoji what flag what people.

Block automatically muted the user for both the person blocked and the person blocking. Even if someone else quotes the person.
So if I blocked you and Boredfrom quoted me you couldn't see what I said, you'd have to post "screenshot for the blocked" just to see it was no1curr.
The claim is this is for anti-harassment even though the block prevents the person from replying to you anyway. I believe Elon stated before that the change is only about top tweets the person posts to their feed. So like if you blocked Kamala Harris you could still go to her Twitter page and see those tweets since those tweets are to "everyone", but you wouldn't see her replies.
