Ancient Apocalypse has an interesting premise. The guy has been feathered and tarred because he challenged the archeology establishment. 

Joe Rogan did a podcast with "both sides" and the outcome was that there is no real explanation for some of Graham Hancock's findings and theories while others can be more easily debunked. The whole 'bigot' thing is basically that some archeologists think that he is trying to take away the achievements of "non-white" civilizations by putting forward the theory that they learned what they knew (farming, building etc.) from some other civilization that came before. For example if a bunch of white dudes told the Egyptians how to build pyramids you'd take away their 'achievement'. Thus it is basically not allowed in modern archeology to research such 'racist' theories. However Hancock never argues that the civilization was 'white' . Although he admits part of his theory is based on stories found in many religions and civilizations that 'white men' brought knowledge and skills which the archeologists explain as being 'planted' by Spanish colonizers or mistranslated. 

Hancock simply argues that there may have been a civilization that existed and what remained of that civilization shared their knowledge after some type of calamity wiped them out.

I don't even think it has anything to do with the controversy, tbh. Cancelling the TGS broadcast (but still participating in the exhibits) indicates to me that something fucky happened with the presentation itself, something wasn't cooked enough, etc. There's no way someone at Ubisoft shouted "we're showing WHAT in Tokyo!??! Oh they're not gonna like that " and hit a big red cancel button...this is Ubisoft's tentpole franchise, lol

He says it would've been hard to change those records but I think it would've been fairly easy compared to everything else the Spanish did.  

Anyway I enjoyed it mostly for seeing the archeological sites I had no idea existed (some have been discovered fairly recently actually) and that one place in Japan with the big blocks looked suspect. Apart from that if it was really that ground breaking I would've expected much more records about it. Also stacking blocks seems to be a thing humans like to do no matter their background or history so I don't see this as a 'special skill' that would have to be learned from Ancient Gandalf or whatever.

Graham Hancock is a snake oil salesman. He's a journalist that went from writing about poverty in third world countries to writing about the ark of the covenant. Not surprisingly, that book sold more than his previous ones so he found his grift. The guy believes in so much absolute bullshit that even if he had some facts I wouldn't listen to him. He's the equivalent of an archaeological flat earther. If I found out that a mechanic that was about to work on my car was a flat earther I would refuse. Maybe he knows how to fix cars but I wouldn't trust anybody that lacks such basic understanding of the world. 

And his whole hate boner for real archeology just shows how ignorant he is. He thinks there's some big grand conspiracy with Big Archeology that doesn't want to listen to new things. That's absolute bullshit. Anybody who knows anything about archeology knows that it's always changing and being revised when new facts and information come in. But that's his problem. You have to back it up with something and he's got nothing.

They admitted Outlaws flopped (could've waited to pad the numbers a bit with holiday + PC sales) and they delayed their biggest game out of the holiday season and Assassins Creed is just one of those "normie" games people pick up as gifts and there was little competition, so missing the season is yikes.
