@POTUS Mr. President can we identify as X now. It only costs $10 billion to change all the computer systems.
That would be pretty cool right. To have our own gender. What about an attack helicopter lol

Brazil nooooo not that X

We can't just leave the US ports in the stone age out of fear of Automation. As was mentioned earlier many of the world's ports are already way ahead of the US and far more efficient as a result. I understand the loss of some jobs sucks, but you also can't just deny the existence of technology and better ways to do the work at hand.

Pay them what they want 100%, but you can't outright ban automation.

Actually their Luddite thing is really funny considering they claim to be socialists. Similar to the anti-social thing we talked about yesterday. They basically think the entire economy and all of society should come to a screeching halt and bow down to a handful of people at all times.

This is basically the opposite of every socialist thinker. You've all seen the meme about "I was going to be a poet" "DIG THE FUCKING HOLE" but that wasn't the only point of central planning. The entire point was to achieve peak industrialization, to end scarcity with infinite abundance from all of society turning into one giant factory. In the countries trying to skip steps like Soviets, China, etc. there was no "but I want to draw furry art the old way" they'd definitely be like "fuck you, we're mass generating all furry art from now on."

These were regimes who weren't even concerned with things like maintaining supply of firewood for everyone. Nah, we need that wood to meet our targets for industrial steel smelting plants that don't work properly. Yeah, they're definitely going to be concerned about you wanting to not lose your jobs to automation.

"But that's why we need unions!" Which is also centralized and nationalized. Your local isn't allowed to strike, strikes are treason against the state now. There's no more collective bargaining because there's not supposed to be any class to bargain against, you're getting what you deserve.

"But I shouldn't have to emotionally labor." Sorry, bruh, not only should you have to but he who emotionally labors the most will set the standards all others need to match:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shturmovshchina wrote:was a common Soviet work practice of frantic and overtime work at the end of a planning period in order to fulfill the planned production target. The practice usually gave rise to products of poor quality at the end of a planning cycle.[2]

The cycle of shturmovshchina, associated with the tradition of monthly targets (on which bonuses and managers' positions depend), is described as follows. Due to the planned economy,[3] required materials and tools were not always available on time, and the work slowed as a result, or workers might have been reassigned to do something else, with the expectation that the job would be done when the materials arrive. However, when the end of a month neared, management was placed under pressure, substitute materials and improvised tools were used, and the workers were expected to produce the expected product in time.

At least you'd be freed from the exhausting never ending chase of numbers for some executive:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrecking_(Soviet_Union) wrote:As applied in practice, "wrecking" and "sabotage" referred to any action which negatively affected the economy, including failing to meet unrealistic economic targets, allegedly causing poor morale among subordinates (e.g. by complaining about conditions of work), lack of effort, or other incompetence. Thus, it referred to economic or industrial sabotage in the very broadest sense. The definition of sabotage was interpreted dialectically and indirectly, so any form of non-compliance with Party directives could have been considered a 'sabotage'.

"Take a carrot, leave a carrot?" Sorry, no, you have a carrot quota to meet, back to work, comrade.

I was responding more to Nothing Loud afraid Nintendo is going to throw him under the prison for posting his emulation videos.

And yeah, that's when you shouldn't be cavalier and not bother to learn the DMCA. They need to be disputing their first two strikes.

We're not talking about "YouTube rules" here, this is the law. YouTube doesn't get to decide what to enforce about it, they're required to eliminate copyright infringers or they become liable for it.

Disputing it is how you start the process that gets to where YouTube defends you from this kind of thing.

It gets worse, the WHO says all queer children should be silenced, murdered and the genocide moved to step nine immediately:
https://www.politico.eu/article/education-stronger-regulation-protect-kids-social-media-misuse-smartphones-who-ban-addiction/ wrote:Countries should consider regulating digital devices like smartphones in a similar way to tobacco products, to combat social media's rising negative impact on young people's mental health, the World Health Organization’s Natasha Azzopardi Muscat said.

With increasing evidence that problematic gaming and social media behavior is on the rise among adolescents in Europe, countries should take inspiration from other areas of public health where legislation has helped address potentially damaging habits — such as tobacco laws, she said.

Measures including age limits, controlled prices and even no-go zones worked for regulating tobacco, so they could be taken as an example for how to curb damaging use of handheld devices like smartphones, Azzopardi Muscat, director of country health policies and systems at WHO Europe, told POLITICO on the sidelines of the European Health Forum, in Gastein, Austria.

“Maybe we need to think about where it is appropriate to use digital devices, and maybe it's also time to start thinking about places where certain digital devices should not be used,” just as we have banned smoking in certain areas, she said.
Quote:The study also found that 12 percent of adolescents are at risk of problematic gaming, with boys more than twice as likely than girls to show signs of problematic gaming.

“As with anything else, you can use these tools well and effectively,” Azzopardi Muscat said. “But we have to be careful, because we have a portion of the population who are reporting problematic use, and we know that this eventually can go on to affect their educational outcomes, their mental health and wellbeing, their productivity in the workforce.”

The link between social media use and mental health, especially among teens, is garnering more attention. Earlier this summer, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen promised a “first-ever European-wide inquiry on the impact of social media on the well-being of young people.”

Taking stock of the evidence is essential, but we shouldn’t wait too long, Azzopardi Muscat said.

“The evidence needs to be collated systematically, and then we need to see what is likely to work, and what is the approach that we want to take,” she said. “But it's quite clear that we can't delay taking actions and decisions.”
