I wanted Trump to lose because I am tired of this stupid culture war (and he's an idiot) BUT

time and time again it has been proven that spending most of your time calling people names and focusing on a niche group when fair or not basic shit isn't in the best spot atm is a losing gameplan

I think trans rights are human rights. I don't think people should be deported willy nilly. I think that Abortion should be the woman's choice and all that liberal jazz...however dying on the hill of allowing someone who still has male traits compete against those who don't is not something that reads well. The Kamala is for they/them and Trump is for YOU was a goddam bar.  The abortion thing is tricky because from a quick glance it seems like it will stop those who get it just because rather than the rape/death/incest reasons, no? And while yeah shit sucks...those who ILLEGALLY enter the country probably should be sent back. All of the main things they campaigned on seems to have "reasonable" enough outs that the most normal not online don't feel as strongly for them as the ERA types think they should. The Hamas war thing was also a weird thing to be hung up about.

I don't know if Trump will go full MAGATARD and stop all the trans, deport every latino, and make ALL abortion illegal by firing squad. He technically has the power to do so but considering idk what the fuck he did last time he was president (hows that wall coming along lol) I doubt it beyond things that right or wrong most americans would probably agree with even if only in private.

I just want the libs to actually learn that being a total stick in the mud annoying shithead doesn't work....but considering what I am seeing....lolno

That's off the top of my head what ERA advocates and supports. ERA's positions are outright loony toons for 90% of the electorate. But they are shocked that voters completely rejected all of the above. The loss is still raw, so there's a brief window of their bubble popping and you're getting more sane, sensible takes. But you can see in real-time the bubble is reforming with the latter half of that "how do we reach young men" thread and FantasticToma's ban for "male fragility." Within the next week or two, the bubble will be fully reformed and ERA will be back at it advocating for all the above and similar wacky positions and memory-holed how terrible those positions performed at the polls.

My goal is to ramp up my own activism within my neighborhood as a survival mechanism, to try and figure out the ways to stave off the worst of what may come for the people I care about within my community.

I'm done with folks who are giving up though. This "lay down and die" approach is childish and just indicative of how utterly cooked most Americans are politically. Absolutely useless.

I am also done with the Democratic Party until they understand that I am not interested in voting for conservatives just because they dangle Pride flags in my face.
