My hot take. Its because the DNC and RNC are backed by the same billionaires. But billionaires only back DNC in case they win. And if DNC doesn't play ball in trying be more moderate to get the billionaire's money, they lose funding.
And even if DNC had record donations like Harris did get, they know billionaire funding is more reliable than donations from voters.

Not a single one of them is worth being the only streaming service you use, meaning you HAVE to subscribe to a bunch of them - giving your personal data to a bunch of them all at once - just to have an experience even comparable to cable.

And even then, you get shorter, crappier shows, 3-year gaps between said short seasons, and everything you might actually care about gets cancelled before it can even find its footing. There's just zero upside to streaming at this point. It's all downsides.
