Or complete asshats telling me how "non political" the thing was until now because the franchise added a black woman or some shit...

And THEN you can't even search for a thing you like without the angry YouTube angry men with zero media literacy calling everything shit based on the most stupid reads possible and pushing buzzwords and overly simplified jabs at basic storytelling that idiots will repeat non-stop to appear intelligent.

All these while the same dipshits are turning the fucking world we live in in the exact oppressive, hateful society these stories warned us about.

Can't say I'm surprised. Bioware's name doesn't carry much weight anymore and Veilguard doesn't do anything to turn that around.

I do think FF16 and Veilguard have very similar issues, wokism aside.

They both feel like they are reacting to "no one wants those old and dusty RPGs anymore...we have to do something different to stay relevant!"
