Half Life 2 and its episodes are free on Steam (episodes included within HL2 release now)

Also a very cool documentary with lots of beta footage previously unseen

The Last of Us: Part 2 Remastered should win. Then run a trailer for the PS5 Pro remaster of the remaster.

My only thing is DLC.

Remakes, remasters? Sure. To use a film comparison, Eggers remake of Nosferatu is as legitimate a contender for an Oscar as any movie. Hell, I don't even really have a problem with Expansion Packs--back in the ol' days, they were often as meaty as the base game--but that is undercut by the fact that Expansion Packs don't exist anymore...everything is just "DLC", from a <1-minute long free Astrobot Level to something as massive as Shadow of the Erdtree.

DLC GotY is goofy.

Anyway if Erdtree wins that weird kid better have a special on-stage feature.

The only dlc that deserves to win is the Oblivion horse armor.

Give it the game of the century award.

It's the top selling game on Steam, plus the gamepass sales. It will be fine.

Yep stalker 2 will do fine. Not to mention it cost peanuts to make compared to the likes of Dragon Age and Concord.

Maybe the Al Aqsa Warriors game? I read that got delisted. Also sometimes they mess around with versions of games, stuff gets region locked or doesn't pass the age rating or the publishers change.

Switch Black Friday haul so far
- Tomb Raider I-II-II Remastered (25% off)
- Star Ocean Second Story R (50% off)
- Shin Migami Tensei V: Vengeance (50% off)
All physical.

Modern controls make Tomb Raider I a lot more playable but I'm still running around in circles because the level design in this mostly makes no sense.
The original Lara Croft is far different from the modernized version. Not only in her looks but also her character.

In the intro of the first game she guns down her Peruvian guide as he gets mauled by wolves as 'collateral damage' and doesn't even blink an eye.

Steam sale so far not as interesting but that might also be because I already have so many games. Jedi Survivor at 17.49 seems like a good deal but I hear it stutters like hell on PC.

Also it has gotten harder to find recommendations, everyone is too busy with stupid shit on X to say what they're actually buying and the YooToobers are like
'Don't forget about these hidden gems you probably missed, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, DOOM I + II and Forza Horizon 4.'
Is it tho?

I think it was some chinese AI lady game where you can get a virtual grill to chill with, it was on my wishlist for a long time, since it was like 60 euro's. Sadly I wont ever be able to find it again because it had some weird ass name

It was I think a picture of a korean lady on the beach.

Let me show you why AI bros like me will rule the world. Elon

Quote:It sounds like you're referring to "A.I. Girl" (also known as "AI Girl"), a visual novel-style game developed by Illusion. This game features a virtual AI character, often described as an AI "girlfriend" you can interact with, and it has a distinctly Asian aesthetic. The cover art you're describing with a lady on a beach also fits with the promotional images for the game.

This game, released on platforms like Steam (with a regional restriction in some countries) or other distribution platforms, involves life simulation and adult themes, where you can build a relationship with a virtual character. The game does fit the description of "chilling with a virtual grill," where you can interact with a virtual companion.

Regarding the price, it often sat at a higher price point, aligning with your memory of a €60 price tag.

If it had disappeared from your wishlist, it could be due to a few reasons:

The game might have been temporarily removed or delisted from Steam in some regions.
If the game had adult content, it might have been censored or removed in certain regions due to Steam's content regulations.
If you're interested in finding it again, you could check on other sites that sell the game (such as the developer's site or third-party platforms) or try searching in different ways on Steam, such as using keywords related to the genre or developer.

Spoiler: other potential candidates (click to show)
1. "Artificial Girl 3"
Developer: Illusion
Genre: Life simulation, adult visual novel
Price Range: Generally high, often above €50
Description: This is another game from the same developer, Illusion, which is known for its interactive 3D visual novels. "Artificial Girl 3" is a more extensive life simulation game where you can interact with virtual women. It also features various customization options and relationship-building mechanics. The game’s aesthetic often includes characters that could match your description of a "Korean lady" or other Asian-inspired visuals.

2. "Honey Select 2"
Developer: Illusion
Genre: 3D character creation, simulation, adult content
Price Range: High, often in the €50-60 range
Description: This game is part of the Honey Select series, where you can create and interact with 3D characters. The game lets you simulate virtual relationships, and like Artificial Girl 3, it allows you to spend time with customizable characters in different scenarios. The aesthetic is heavily influenced by anime and Japanese visual styles, but there are options for various characters, which might fit your recollection of an AI character.

3. "VR Kanojo"
Developer: Illusion
Genre: Virtual reality, adult simulation
Price Range: Around €50-60
Description: In VR Kanojo, you interact with a virtual girlfriend in a VR setting, where you can experience more immersive interactions. The game features various virtual characters, including ones inspired by Asian aesthetics. It was also known for its relatively high price and often found in adult-themed visual novel sections on Steam or other platforms.

4. "Summer Lesson"
Developer: Bandai Namco
Genre: VR visual novel, life simulation
Price Range: Varies, but can be on the higher end (around €40-60)
Description: This game is a bit more niche, but it's a Japanese VR game where you spend time with a virtual girl (or multiple girls) in a relaxing, summer-like setting. The game focuses on interactions with the characters, and the aesthetic could fit with your memory of a Korean or Asian-style visual on the cover. While not as well-known as the Illusion games, Summer Lesson has a similar vibe.

5. "A.I. Shoujo"
Developer: Illusion
Genre: Life simulation, 3D visual novel
Price Range: Around €50
Description: This is another Illusion game where you can live on an island with AI-controlled female characters. It’s a 3D simulation game with customizable characters, and it involves a lot of interaction and "chill" moments like you mentioned. The visual style fits within the Japanese aesthetic, with possible references to beach scenes or relaxing island settings.

6. "Love, Money, Rock'n'Roll"
Developer: Alice in Dissonance
Genre: Visual novel, adult content, romance
Price Range: Usually around €20-40
Description: Though not strictly an AI girlfriend game, this visual novel mixes romance, action, and mystery with an intricate plot. It could be an option if you're recalling a narrative-driven game with virtual relationships, though it is less about simulation and more about character interaction.

That was just temporary before he was actually selling it, they've tried to get it delisted multiple times since and Valve doesn't care:

I got Kingdom Come Deliverance for free on epic a long time ago. I saw there was a deep discount on steam where you can buy the game and all the DLC for $3.99. Of course they're not running any sale on Epic.

Even though I got the game for free, it still kind of bugs me that I'm buying it on a different launcher.

I think epic has a way that I can remove the game like steam. Because I know that's going to bug me having a dead game on there.
