Demonstrations- sudden mass swells of instictive yet justified outrage- are not the solution either. They can put a hurt on politicians and capitalists in the short-term, but in the long-term they fizzle out because there's no actual systemic organization and commitment behind them. People show up, and you're left with ten or twenty people who are genuinely radicalized to action, which is not enough.

We need to actually start taking lessons from civil rights activists and revolutionaries and start organizing alternative systems, safety nets, means of education, and contingencies while maintaining the fight on the political front. That's how you scare the powers that be. They don't give a fuck about some signs and they hardly give a fuck about how you vote. But actually organizing? It will scare the shit out of them.

Trans identities are valid, whether the person has transitioned or not. We are trans when we are in the closet. We are trans after coming out (if we do) before we start transitioning. We are trans from the beginning of any transition (social or medical) to any end point you can imagine. Regardless of the medicines we take. Regardless of the surgeries we may undergo. Regardless of whether we can 'pass' as our birth assigned gender or our gender identity. Regardless of whether or not our legal gender has changed.
