Remember popping the disc into the Xbox One X and it didn't work.

Good video if you're also a geriatric old PC nerd who yells shazbot when your sciatica aches.

What they need to do is stop making these snoozer-ass sonic-only racing games, and get back to letting me play as Ryo on a forklift or Shinobi on a 3-wheel motorcycle.

All these Yakuza dudes wanna race too! They're leaving money on the table!

I'm looking forward to that but wish it wasn't a 2026 title

I'd like to congratulate Warner Bros for killing Monolith Productions. Good job squandering another studio.

Performance is terrible mind.

How can it be 'very good'  if the performance is terrible?

Rewarding mediocrity again I see

Steam regularly does demo events and I like check a couple out. One I saw called Geargrit is a throwback to Jak 2. There’s no shortage of PS1/N64 inspired games. It’s novel to see people jumping ahead a generation. We’re out of the realm of retro into newer games from…two decades ago.

Another demo is basically Bioshock. That ancient game from 18 years ago.

Been watching this video and I'm taken by how I remember nothing about playing Jade Empire. I have memories of a lot of junk from that era. It's making me question if I did actually play it.

Fuck the oscars man has done it again. Split Fiction is the number 1 game this year so far on Metacritic.

That's weird. Why…?

Security problem patch?

It hit me that the gap between Galaxy 2 and Mario Odyssey will be smaller than Odyssey and the next 3D Mario game. And I’m charitable by ignoring 3D World.

Finished Split Fiction with a friend this weekend, wow what an amazing game! So creative in almost every way, the amount gameplay mechanics it throws at you over the course of the game is insane! And everything was super polished as well.

So much fun to go through, a lot of easter eggs.

Id say dont watch anything on it and go in as blind as much as possible.

The friend pass is also so awesome, and its also crossplay

What is the age appropriateness?

I know what the official ratings are, but those don't often reflect reality.

My son is 10 and I think it would be fun to play through with him.

Is it just video game violence or something more realistic?

He watches horror movies so I'm not to concerned about depictions of violence.

Nothing realistic there's maybe one or two times that I saw blood when killing a magical creature or something

Its super appropriate for a 10-12 year old, maybe they say shit once or twice.

No F words or other cursing, no nekkid ladies sadly. No LGTBQ or anything like that.

Everyone get this game. It's amazing (really, the Zeno games and most everything ACE team makes is amazing).

Ok, so my issue with Split Fiction is the same as I had with It Takes Two.

It's almost too much. It's just non-stop rollercoaster of fun and diversions.

That's a compliment: it's great, and to design a game as tight as this twice takes some real skill

BUT

I feel like I gotta go lay down if I play it for longer than 30 minutes at a stretch.

Loving Monster Hunter. Hit my first wall with the electric rail gun transformer wyvern fight in the sandstorm. Very epic. Carted a few times but finally succeeded when I joined a rando on the same mission in the big lobby. We carted once each at the same time but made it through.

I hate the pressure of co op sometimes  because by joining their mission, I absolutely can not be the weak link that causes failure.

Good game so far. Missing stuff like cooking and item boxes and memorable music, but that's what the MR Grank expansion is for.

Edit- made it to high rank and I think I've discovered most of the monsters, minus tempered versions. Don't think it's as good as Rise/Sunbreak. Ultimately, ill still drop hundreds of hours and not play for a few months and then hop in and destroy a whole weekend binging it like a 4X game.

Onto Xenoblade Chronicles X on switch, which I didn't too far into since I gave my Wii U to my nephew.
