I honestly might just install the original again. Series X has it backwards compatible at 4K60. (Or 1800p or something) There's something about the readability of the UE5 games that just doesn't gel with me. Everything looks washed out. I fucking hate UE5 at this point.

I could be wrong but I don't think the original is backwards compatible? Or did they add it in one of the final drops.

Remember popping the disc into the Xbox One X and it didn't work.

It is backwards compatible and is a better version that this "black" which is just Sigma 3.0 really with added gore.

Having never played the Sigma games, I am enjoying it but glad I didnt pay for it

Yup they sold 'exclusive' NFT's to use in the game, with a 50$ starter pack or some shit

Didn't expect this. Thought the remaster for the first game didn't sell that well.

Good year so far. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, Dino Crisis 1 and 2 on GOG and now this.

I disagree. A hypothetical Shadow of Mordor game on Themyscira, fighting mythic beasts and whatnot, would be cool. There’s grounds to rope in various Greek mythology. Given God of War moved away from it, it’d be a novel to mess with. Fucking up minotaurs and such. It’s not that complicated conceptually. Think it’s what people assumed when it went to that team. So I don’t get how it became complicated.

My take is it’s a chicken and egg deal. Character doesn’t have wide appeal because there wasn’t media to build that appeal. Until there is.

Besides, Avengers and Avatar are the two biggest movie franchises and those games flopped because of the quality. You make a good game and people will play it. The team behind it is talented. The potential to build something cool is there.

The first new Wonder Woman film was quite succesful then they fucked it all up with 1984.

From what I can see all this shit is just way too late.
When the Ninja Turtles game shipped on the NES, that was when the Ninja Turtles were popular.
Same when James Bond came out on N64 and GameCube, it was moderately popular with regular Brosnan movies not dead as a dodo.

Arkham Asylum shipped between the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises, perfect timing.

The Wonder Woman film came out in 2017. Going by that article the game will ship 2026 or even 2027 at the earliest.
That's 10 years after the movie made an impact.

I honestly don't give much of a shit about the inner workings of the industry anymore tbh.

I see that as an extension of Avengers failing and poor marketing. Until I played it, I was under the assumption it was a co-op PVE game like Avengers, and not the fun Mass Effect-light it was. Honestly, I’m still not sure if that Gotham Knight game is single player or 4-player co-op.

Licensed properties are weird. License holders are weird. They're frequently weird political playgrounds where no-one is playing nicely with anyone else. Heard from a friend making a licensed game based on an animated series: The contract requires that licenseholder approved actors are used. The scripts also need approval, which is its own special hell. Then the studio is booked, the actor arrives, looks at the approved script which has been reviewed repeatedly prior to approval, and says, "my character would not say that."

Just, seriously, go fuck yourself. You're not doing Hamlet or King Lear, this is a kids' cartoon character. Can you get over yourself for a second and assume EVERYFUCKINGONE here has done their job prior to showing up? Sit the fuck down and do yours.
