Trump specifically and the GOP generally absolutely despise Muslim’s/Arabs/anyone with brown skin from the Middle East. They want to ban them completely from entering the country and they want to deport those that are here on suspicion of “sympathizing with terrorists” or whatever bullshit they make up. Trump literally just reiterated that he would immediately re-implement the Muslim ban.

So people saying that Biden has lost their vote and that they will therefor directly contribute to Trump potentially getting back into office is an insane thought process to me. The GOP are actively promising to make your peoples’ lives miserable and perpetuate further hate and Islamophobia. He will directly contribute to more anti-Muslim hate crimes with his words and policies.

Sure, I can totally understand the annoyance or anger at Biden for not being forceful enough, but he’s at least trying and putting into action things to ease tensions and help innocent Palestinians.

The thought process isn’t “I don’t like Biden, let’s try Trump” but more “I’m angry that Biden is hurting our community so I’m not going to vote for him until he stops and helps.”

Dems aren’t owed a vote. They have to earn it.

This has never been how democracy actually functions in practice as has been demonstrably proven multiple times in disastrous fashion just within my own lifetime. Like, I thought we were past this after the last President attempted to literally overthrow the government to remain in power but I suppose I’m not enlightened enough to understand.

And please don’t talk about allyship when the most basic rights of essentially every individual other than heterosexual normative white men are being quite literally proudly campaigned against by the GOP. Including Jewish Americans who are being assailed by literal actual Nazis in their every day lives here in the US because they’ve been empowered by said GOP.

You can think it’s dumb or whatever but folks don’t see it that way. For better and worse, many folks believe that their vote needs to be earned.

I don’t think it’s dumb, I know it’s inherently self destructive and ultimately selfish.

One guy actively tries to make lives worse for minorities. The other guy probably isn’t doing enough to help minorities but is actually trying to do so.

Seems like a very black and white choice to me. Yes, Biden could do better but the alternative (who you’d be helping by not voting out of protest) will cause untold suffering for the very people you want protection for.

If I don’t vote and Trump wins then the Texas GOP decides to put me against the wall, it’s not my fault and it makes no sense to say it is.

One vote has not and will never decide an election. One thousand votes has not and will never decide an American Presidential election. (Proof.)

The burden should be on you to prove that any individual Muslim choosing to not vote for Biden could lead to Trump winning. Since you're referring to probability to make your moral case the burden is additionally on you to disclose the probabilities for multiple events, for example, you need to show that all Muslims not voting (an extreme probability event) is a greater probability event than Biden dying in a way that helps Trump. You also will need to convince us that your probabilities are correct. You are instead simply asserting your desires.

Additionally, to address your moral case, it's you who are being selfish. You're demanding others drop their preferences and their relative rankings to adhere to your preferences and your relative rankings. You value someone voting for Biden, possibly even in a state he has no chance of losing or winning, more than you do allowing them to do what they want so you're chastising and attacking them for not doing what you want. This is clearly selfish no matter what you claim about a "greater goal" that could result. Especially when we take into account that those individuals have no say over the collective decisions of Americans which may render their vote entirely irrelevant as to who wins the election. You are in fact bullying others and proclaiming this to be the utmost moral value even though anyone you bully acceding to your wishes does not ensure and potentially does not even have an effect on the event you claim to be bullying them on behalf of achieving. (And if you're a white cishet man, yikes. That's an oof look.)

Furthemore, you're being inherently anti-democratic, you're arguing that the people have a duty to forego their preferences to consider only the potential outcome of a single event and their duty to do only one thing towards the achievement of that outcome. Why do they not have a duty to donate and campaign for Biden? Why not have a duty to leave their job to spend all their time arguing online about other people's duties to vote for Biden? Why not... Either what you claim is true and the duty is truly existential or you're simply trying to be a bully demanding your preferred outcome outweigh any voters own personal preferences.

Some of my developers work 9 - 10 hours for 4 days, instead of 7 - 8 hours for 5 days.
In practice that means starting at 9:00 AM instead of the regular 10:00 AM and leaving at 18:30 PM instead of 18:00 PM.

That way a 3 day weekend doesn't cost them anything.
