Something expensive, technically accomplished and rendered well can still look wrong. Her model does not match the fidelity of the Bruce model. Possibly/likely due to sexist reasons the character of Maslany's face is airbrushed out and low detail in comparison to Bruce where you see every pore and wrinkle in detail. It doesn't match the exaggerated "ugly" features of the Bruce model, it makes her more conventionally attractive and generic than Maslany, so it looks like she was designed by a completely different artist. Like that one filter some weirdo put over Aloy.
I get that's due to the comics being sexist, but it looks worse in "live action" for it.
