I'm happy for your dad, but Trump is not chemotherapy for the deep state, he is a fat moron who had a rich dad who will ruin everything and most definitely start a war with his trade bullshit. It's more like injecting yourself with syphillis because someone dared you not to.

I think "moron who will ruin everything" is actually a super apt comparison for radiation lol

I didn't (and wouldn't) vote for Trump, and I don't agree that The Democrats = Cancer in Pogi's metaphor, BUT I do think in life sometimes there are unforeseen positive consequences to unplanned and undesirable events.

Think about how many "...and now my life is better than ever!" stories there are from people who's spouse walked out on them and left them holding the bag. No sane person is going to vote for the life-disrupting tragedy, but sometimes the reconstruction after a breakage can be even stronger than what came before.

But I'm also a pollyanna goofball who would probably remind my wife that we have been talking about maybe moving to a place with more space if I got home one day and noticed the house had burned down 🤷‍♀️

I’m happy for your dad and that you feel less hopeless PogiJones Cancer sucks.

The analogy was terrible but whatever (but I disagree with the idea he will start an actual war for this). You shared it because you are happy and want to share the positive stuff.

EDIT: I’m really sorry that I confused you with Pollident.

In reality things like resource / climate collapse, pandemics, etc should cause any large country like the US to completely fail and break into pieces long before that fantasy comes about.

Someone pointed out that the new fantasy Trump is selling about Canada becoming a state, whether he intends this or not, fits into a the narrative that nothing better can ever exist anywhere outside America. And if necessary America will take over other places to make them into America, so Americans stay comfortable in their misery/arrogance and cynicism/pride.

In reality it's more likely in a few decades that parts of what was the United States will be provinces of Canada.

ideally illegal immigrants will be treated humanely and there will be a minimum of bad incidents or falsely reported/deported people, but you could classify that epidemic as a cancer of its own, one which other countries have been suffering from more severely than the US, so I'm glad we can deal with it somewhat before we end up like Canada or much of Europe

do we want to welcome these people? great, fine, change the law so they can be here legally

if they're not here legally, then enforce your laws

the trade war is stupid, but at least it keeps trump distracted from doing much worse things like starting an actual war

Mike  Is it tho?

which part was wrong

do you think laws should not be changed, and people should simply be able to stay in the US illegally as much as they like?

do you think the trade war is not stupid?

do you disagree that illegal immigrants should be treated humanely?

Delayed for a month, maybe, Claudia decided to drop the news before Trump (I suspect he is not going to like that).

“Victory” for Trump to pretend he is a smart kid. The Trump Cycle continues.

The cancer analogy is pretty 4chan esque and talking about Canada and Europe like inhabitable wastelands.

Right now, after the plane crash meltdown, I think Trump definitely contributes to the culture war shit rather than being a cure it.

Almost all the illegal immigrants in Canada (the "asylum seekers" with very dubious claims) came from the US, in literal [Dodge] Caravans from NYC to Platsburgh, NY. And you guys were more than happy to do nothing and let them go.

Other than that, Canada's immigration problems (cheap temporary workers, rich kids studying in phony overpriced strip mall colleges and "investor immigrants" with way more money than the locals) are very much self-inflicted, but nothing that a moratorium and stronger visa requirements can't fix.

They were all apprehended within a minute of setting foot in the country. They claimed asylum (often citing Trump). They're now here for years until they have exhausted the numerous administrative and judicial recourses.
Sounds familiar? You're our Southern border/Mexico...

I didn't say this, I said exactly what I meant, I'm glad that the immigration situation in the US hasn't led to as many problems as in canada and europe

would you say I'm incorrect about that, do you think I should not be glad, because the immigration issues in the US are worse than in canada and europe?

My dude, it is in fact America where all of the crimes and hell hole dystopian muder rate business is happening, not in Canada and Europe, comparatively, Europe is safe as fuck. What Nintex is most worried about is the Netherlands turning into Kentucky.

Anyway, KCD2 meltdowns  Success

Also Polygon upset they didn't get a review code

Quote:As part of our final request for code on Jan. 10, Polygon's editor-in-chief Chris Plante contacted Plaion and Warhorse's PR firm to get a comment as to why we were denied advance access to the game. He stressed in his message that our hope is that this decision wasn't due to any personal bias against Polygon, nor motivated by any of our previous coverage of games made by Warhorse or any other. In short, we wanted to know: Was Polygon being blacklisted?
