The point Edalyn and Malakym are trying to make is that it's shitty that MK1 has less female representation, including not even having series mainstay Sonya Blade on the playable roster. Yet a rapists is gets to be playable. It's not hard to understand, and Edalyns post explained it very well.

After a quick search, apparently he posted doctored screengrabs that made it seem like the furry was grooming kids, and then people were bombarding their father with calls about it. Pretty shitty thing to do to someone whose only crime is being cringe.

1. It's been on clearnet since at least June, the top level domain just changes as they're seized. (Which is hilarious considering it continues to be a completely legal website while neither massive copyright violations or actual targeted harassment gets domains seized.)

I don't know how to make it through the day anymore. Every day I just feel worse and worse. Gaming side hates me, and even participating in discussions makes me feel like I'm some kind of intruder who no one wants around. I can't talk about politics anymore because everything the Republicans do makes me feel like the world is two steps away from armageddon. Just about the only discussions I feel like I'm not wrong for getting involved in seem to be the ones about TV, and I barely watch any anymore.

Meanwhile, my work situation continuously gets worse day after day after day, to the point at which I feel like I'm breathing poison 5 days a week just to pay rent for an apartment I don't want to live in in, a city I've wanted to leave since before the pandemic started. My weekends barely even count as rest at this point because of how horrible my work-day stress has become. I hate my body - just the feeling of living in it makes me want to scream 24/7. I'm isolated from my friends, meaning I'm constantly alone in my own head, and there's no one I would rather be alone with less than myself. I don't even like waking up in the morning anymore because it just means going through the same cycle of being beaten down repeatedly and having virtually nothing to pull me out of the abyss.

I'm sorry I'm so negative all the time. I really wish I wasn't. I wish I had things to feel good about, to be excited about. I miss it. I really do. I'm sorry I'm such a burden on everyone.

The game has a strange mix of brutalizing female characters but also treating Triss, Yennifer, Ciri, and Keira Metz as fully fleshed out individuals. If men get it just as bad I'm blanking on good & numerous examples compared to what we see with women.

Wow. It's really strange how this game treats women like any other human beings. Some are strong, some are evil and some are victims. Truly bizarre treatment of female characters.

I was talking about the discord screenshot that the furry claimed was fake. Thought i'd give them the benefit of the doubt since discord screenshots are easily faked, and because you'd have to have a screw loose to say you're going to lodge a defamation lawsuit against truthful material, but yeah, I forgot this person was a furry

Wow. It's really strange how this game treats women like any other human beings. Some are strong, some are evil and some are victims. Truly bizarre treatment of female characters.

I don't really know much history about literature and drama so I just learned from my reading that back before the Enlightenment period it was thought that fiction should only depict people acting in good and proper ways in clear straight forward fashion so the audience could not miss the point of how to live. So the Thinkers (to use MovieBob's scientific term) condemned tragedy and comedy for incorrectly inflaming the passions in the masses instead of instructing how to be virtuous. Shakespeare was condemned for "confusingly" mixing genres and giving complex motives to individuals. Characters being actual individuals in general was condemned as it was thought that instead they should be "timeless" archetypes that act only in ways that fit the essential nature of those archetypes, so heroes should show no doubts and have no vices while always being upstanding and correct (*cough* MCU vs. Zack Snyder's masterpieces *cough*) or else audiences might not think correctly about certain types of people and roles. Also in general artists were condemned for depicting non-virtuous things outside of the clear unambiguous villains as this was seen as endorsement, it was thought that no artist could enjoy writing bad characters so any humanizing of them was a revelation of the artists own traits since how else could they put themselves in the mind of such a character.

Basically, what I'm saying yet again is that our "progressive" friends live in and demand the ways of the centuries old past. I'm starting to fear asking them just to catch up to the Enlightenment may be asking too much.
