I was talking about the kids market being under saturated but I see what you're saying and do think you are probably right. It does seem like the industry is just gradually lurching towards just being forever games and Indies and it sucks that the market just doesn't seem to be there for so many great games and there's like a million reasons for it, especially the cost of living crisis we are all in. I could be completely wrong here and I probably am but it just feels like quality kids games should be able to make a decent impact if even c tier Nintendo games can, though there is a lot of brand value in Nintendo which basically anyone else would have to start at ground zero from if they wanted to make the same impact.
I guess I'm just frustrated and annoyed right now with finding games I can manage to play and making connections that aren't actually there

Children can play and enjoy difficult games. Stop sheltering them. The experience of failing and trying again is a good life lesson for them to never give up, and that hard work can lead to success. Besides, the gaming industry was built on children back in NES era, and NES games were harder on average.

Spyro Reignited, Crash Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank on PS5, Sly Cooper was recently rereleased, all the lego games. There is Spongebob Rehydrated and Cosmic Shake, Hot Wheels Unleashed 1 and 2, Astro Bot is on the way. And that is just on top of my head.

Somehow all of the games you mentioned here awakens some sort of body dysphoria or triggers Twohearts.

So, I just want to clear something up: this isn't a full mod position, it would be just for this thread and this thread only. That's it. You wouldn't have full mod powers, just the ability to do warnings, threadbans, and mess with the post friction options (make it so people can post more often or less often or set minimum or maximum wordcounts for posts or whatever). The idea is everyone here can set some custom rules or whatever and if someone is being a bit of a jackass you don't need to wait for myself or one of the mods to see the the post, you can just handle it real quick yourself and kick them out of the thread.

I know people are on edge because of everything that went down the other day and that's part of why we're doing this: give you all more of a say in how the community is handled. We'll still deal with any big issues or anything, and if you have any concerns you can just pop into my DMs directly, but this is not meant to be a full-time thing for anyone. I don't even ask that from the full mods. Hell, I'm not even around 24/7.It might seem like I am because I tend to pop in at random times, but I also have a job and a life and all of that too. I just know where to look for trouble, when I do pop in, from experience is all.

If you don't think one person can handle it alone, that's fine, I can check with DUC and see if we can mess with the program that grants the powers a bit and maybe give it to two or three regulars. That way no single person feels like they need to be around all the time and there will generally be coverage.

This is actually true to some extent. Over time the American Revolution has become about George because of the declaration of independence (which has that big section of his personal crimes) but up until that point the lockean dispute was with Parliament and not the crown, in fact for the majority of the build up the 'patriots' were appealing to george. Not a huge coincidence that Washington was also a george.

Really it was Lincoln who reframed it all as the republican exercise we think of it as today.

It's something I do on a voluntary basis but I extend my education and advocacy to neurodivergencies, disabilities, Anti-Colonialism and anti-capitalisim. As I'm partially deaf, neurodivergent, anti-racist and an anti-capitalist I at least teach about disability and being neurodivergent, while supporting and amplifying indigenous and non-caucasian voices without stepping over them, but as a white woman I come from a way of privilege living in a country built on the blood caused by colonisation, and I am forever on a journey of self improvement when it comes to Anti-racisim and Anti-Colonialism. A journey that will continue until my dying breath.

I think if I can get through just to one person on any of the topics I have first hand experience in then I have done at least something.
