Everything Nintex said above is true. ResetEra has a lot to answer for. But it's also true that they're 'influence' nowadays is extremely minor and they are rapidly fading into irrelevance. There was a very short period of time when a few prominent websites were writing articles based on ResetEra threads but that stopped a few years back.

I feel you. What's crazy is that as misogynistic as those religions are, and boy, they certainly are... there's not even anything in those religions, whether scripturally, culturally or historically, that even takes things that far. I guarantee you that medieval Islamic societies didn't prevent "women's voices" or covered them up that much and you won't find shit in the Quran about that.
