I disagree with this because I think there are other factors to consider. In corporate America, profits often supersede healthcare, including for hospital systems. And racism is rampant allowing Black mothers to continue to face a significantly higher rate of death during/shortly after birth compared to other races. So I don’t think it should just be between a doctor and patient when certain types of patients are often mistreated or even given false information.

Probably not, but as someone who hasn't watched the films, I can tell you why Saw has that reputation: it's because almost all of the trailers and/or clips people see for past Saw movies or newer Saw movies (when they're coming up) happen to have ridiculous kills in them. So from the casual perspective who doesn't watch these movies, it's easy to understand why most folks think it's nothing more than torture porn. Mind you, I have at least seen all of the Kill Counts by Dead Meat on Youtube so I know it's not that bad but still, what the casual non-avid Saw watcher sees every now then from that franchise is nothing more than glorified torture porn cause of how insane the kills are -- thus why it has that reputation/label.
