We're digging in and we're demanding negotiations. The university is threatening us with suspensions for setting up tents but there's nothing in the student code of conduct that prevents us from doing so.

I won't be able to stay overnight, but I will be visiting frequently.

A group of students (including some friends of mine) just set up an encampment on the quad at my university calling for the administration to divest from the manufacturing company (Caterpillar) that's supplying Israel with bulldozers. Considering that we're in the middle of bumfuck Illinois, I'm expecting a lot of pushback from conservatives but no one ever said it was going to be easy.

Going to be surreal taking action instead of watching everything unfold over the internet.

I hope they stay safe, they're too brave! My visa situation has me with hands tied about doing anything "physical", but I've been donating whenever I can.

From what I have seen (though of course I'm only one student, and thus this isn't a complete, comprehensive view), the vast majority of antisemitic rhetoric and attacks have been propagated by outside actors, groups, and opportunists. While we are glad to have outside groups supporting us, the massive amount of protesters coming to our campus has presented real security risks due to certain individuals spreading hateful and bigoted remarks. As for the mood within campus, it's tense for sure but nowhere near as confrontational as the media is presenting with the footage of these outside protesters. Anyone involved in the encampment is encouraged not to engage with counter-protesters or police, and the lead organizers are extremely firm on ensuring people in the camp are safe from racist, xenophobic, or antisemitic rhetoric. There is a massive Jewish population within our camp, it's inconceivable that our organization would explicitly endorse antisemitism with their support.

Keep in mind this is a movement entirely run by students -- it's challenging to keep everyone in check during such a contentious time, but the lead organizers are truly trying their best and the encampment has been nothing but a compassionate, caring community for those dedicated to the cause

Yeah, student journalists were in the encampment this morning when the warnings were handed out - admin just eyed anyone in the encampment and is handing them warnings of disciplinary probation

CUAD and their legal advisors are working on whether they can actually stand or not - Minouche Shafik apparently superseded the wishes of the University Senate by declaring a state of emergency and the encampment as an existential threat that must be taken down by any means necessary

Insiders that we have thankfully indicated that NYPD isn't thinking of moving in within the evening, but of course the situation is always fluid

Like I've played and gotten enjoyment out of some schlocky otaku games, where even though I'm not the intended audience I can at least be in on the joke in my own (lesbian) way. I expect Stellar Blade to be a full exercise in frustration.

So I finished Stellar Blade. Solid 8. The gameplay was top notch but the story was…  

It was not terrible but legit was making me laugh by the end, is clear that the good writers of shift up are at Nikke (seriously, compare Tachy death here with what happens in the first chapter/tutorial of Nikke). There is the seed of a good idea and narrative there but, more than trying to be Nier, it tries to do the same plot points of Nier and Nier Automata without knowing how to get there; they just spam sad music and they think is good enough to feel sad and reflect about the death of a robo maid that we met 5 minutes ago (but, to be fair, the soundtrack is top notch).

But, more relevant to this thread, I got the gut feeling on why suddenly Princess Bubblegum felt the need to play it

Eve and Lily have more chemistry with each other than anyone in the game, and you can totally see yuri fans shipping them together, the good ending depends on raising affinity with Lily. And regardless of the ending, Adam dies.

The good ending depends of accepting Adam, revealed to be the elder monster all along, offer to “fusion” with him in an incredibly (and hilariously unintentional) creepy scene that will make you think that accepting the offer is the wrong option. Maybe is a not so subtle commentary about gender relations on Korea, but I just think was half cooked. 

Fun game, Eve is hot and I hope they get better writers if they get to make a sequel.

TL;DR: PB is playing because there is potential lesbians. But she needs to get past a creepy shirtless guy that offers you friendship. Is a Nier fanfic, but a very good game otherwise.
