Speaking of BELIEVING instead of THINKING, there's something very religious about all these people who post constantly on a platform complaining about how they hate the platform. It's like they think there's some Twitter or Threads god (Elon or Zuck) who reads everything and since they keep complaining that god will change sitewide policies for everyone and permanently. The number of people who have made bitching about Elon's Twitter every day on Twitter their entire personality is astounding.

See also the passive aggressive complaint style on ResetERA.com even as the staff constantly tell people to submit their requests in a hidden ignorable form.

This is the thing and it's across the board: they don't care what gets you to engage so long as it gets you to stay on the platform and engage. It's why Twitter, Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram have the sorts of algorithms they do. The idea is they feed you not only exactly what you want to see but also the sort of content that will draw you into pointless arguments with random dudes in the replies. That's how they make their money, keeping you on the platform however they can for as long as they can.

I never knew about the biological woman thing being offensive, I honestly thought that was how it was said. I did use cis at times too, but I imagine that is why you-know-where just tried to make cis a slur, so that you're only able to use the right wing talking point version of what someone would say.

For another, the term is often used to downplay the study of gender as a whole. Transphobes use it to essentially reinforce the idea of "sex = gender", and in turn reinforce a traditional, often religious based, patriarchal view of society. It's a term designed to exclude trans women from a number of aspects of society, as well as ensure that cis women are considered second class citizens relative to men.

Conversely, despite what you might see from transphobes and bigots, "cis" is not a slur. It's existed as a Latin term for many years (with "trans" and "ultra" being antonyms) and for something to be a slur it has to be used in a derogatory, pejorative manner. "Cisgender" is just a descriptor of those who are not transgender.

Considering that people are trying to make "cissupremacy" happening you're on a good path to make it a slur
