The entire thing makes me laugh because it's clear she doesn't know what intersectionality means and also says complete nonsense. How could you "solve" intersectionality? Another part of it is people not wanting to be challenged in any way and others because they want the forum to more closely match up with their own personal beliefs.

 

When we ban news sources it's because the people at the site/organization are either nazis, conspiracy nuts, or it's just plain fake news. When we ban media it's because that media is inherently bigoted in such a way that there is no redeeming value (or it's just porn). When we disallow certain kinds of threads, or force them into a containment OT, it's because they either lead to constant dumpsterfires that take up literally all of our time (like the AI threads initially did) or because the thread topic in general isn't going to lead anywhere good and will 100% be a gigantic problem at some point down the line.

Straight up, regardless of what people think, we don't like or want to go around banning stuff.

Politics-adjacent, just wanted to share in case anyone's seen this from Mike Pillow. Fucking yikes.

In the promotional video he quotes a price of $14.98, but if that's the case, then how would the $14.88 price get shown on his website and a separate Twitter post? The price when you add the pillow to the cart is in fact listed at $14.88 too, so it's coded in the system that way. Just incredible.

Like, $14.99 and $14.98 are pretty common sales prices for $15 items, but... it's hard to give this guy the benefit of the doubt after everything we've seen.

I don't even think it's possible to quantify how much bullshit that single sentence is. 99.99% of all resetera bans that have ever occurred were all completely unnessacary and just the staff just itching to press the ban button. They absolutely love the powertrip.

The only possible truth in that statement is when they have to ban their biggest dickriders. They probably have tears in their eyes when they're forced to ban Clicky, Morrigan, Crossing Eden, PlanetSmasher, etc.

.....Then again, that's also probably not true because they all hate each other and themselves. There is no solidarity there.
