I told her no since I don't play this type of games and why she asked since she's never took interest in my gaming habits and she was like "Oh it been all over weibo, xiaohongshu, douban telling people to buy this game since racist western media is trying to make us look bad since they're jealous and racist".

So that IGN article has probably been a positive to the game sales. Ironically gavinized the Chinese market.

Why the banned this guy? He is not dismissing anything in that post, just telling you why there is a big segment of Chinese people buying the game. This has happened multiple times and many at RE are aware how insane the Chinese nationalists can get or that they are also not above misinformation (ironic  ).

It's amazing how all the mods on RE must be absolutely cooked. Like you'd think that at least one person would maybe raise some concerns over why they ban this guy permanently for simply explaining how the IGN article was perceived, while people who directly defend the Houthis or deny October 7th get one month bans at best.

it's really noticable in the burka thread. With western devs largely conforming to their demands by making female characters plain if not downright ugly they have really started to focus on everything non-western and how those devs seemingly lack enlightenment. Naiad accidentally even said the quiet part out loud in the Wukong thread

It's nice that some users have had some bit of common decency left to stand up against that topic, and talk back to an administrator. And I'm also surprised the user that replied with "women are terrible drivers" didn't get met with a permanent ban.

But such reckless behavior and sexist generalizations against men coming from an administrator? I wonder if the users who aren't already aware of the mods/admins tyrannical immature manchild behavior will start to realize that they're full of bullshit, though I think it's impossible given that nearly all of the users are longstay members who have survived this long without getting permabanned.
